Plus Size Wedding

These days it seems like there is an insurance policy for just about everything, including wedding insurance. While many people get married without wedding liability insurance that doesn’t mean it is a good idea for you to do the same. As your mum used to say, if they jumped off a bridge would you?

Like any insurance, not all wedding insurance is the same. It comes in many shapes and sizes; you can have wedding ring insurance, wedding reception insurance, wedding car insurance, wedding cancellation insurance, and wedding liability insurance and wedding event insurance. If you have thought about it, you can probably get that wedding insurance.

When a couple is getting married, they are likely to spend thousands of dollars on the event, but what happens if someone gets horribly sick or a hurricane hits two days before the wedding? Are they just going to let go of all of the money that has been invested?

The average cost of a wedding in the United States is $27,000 and it continues to rise every single year. With that kind of a financial outlay, many couples are opting for the low cost of wedding insurance to protect themselves and gain some peace of mind. Often, a couple can purchase wedding insurance for $125 to $500 depending on the coverage amount.

The biggest day of your life is not the time to be totally focused on saving money, looking for cheap wedding insurance without doing any sort of wedding insurance comparison to ensure that you are covered for everything you need to be.

The wedding insurance policy can also cover things such as a missing officiant, so if the minister or rabbi does not show up, the couple would be able to recoup some of the costs. Also, if a vendor is missing (such as the florist or caterer) then the couple may be able to reschedule the entire event or at least recoup some of their investment. Some wedding insurance policies even cover things like a damaged wedding dress or stolen gifts, believe it or not.

Additional riders can be purchased for a several unforeseen unique events. One such situation would be if the bride or groom is in the military and is called up to active duty before the wedding can take place. Another situation would be if the couple has to cancel their honeymoon due to bad weather or illness. Again, the goal is to help this upcoming newlywed couple to start their lives together without being hit with the financial hardship of having to postpone a wedding.

One potential reason for canceling a wedding is not covered by wedding insurance and that is the obvious, cold feet. If the bride or groom decides that marriage is not in the cards for them, and decides to make a run for it, that is not covered under the policy. Also, any issues that the couple knows about before taking out the wedding insurance policy are not covered either.

Before buying wedding insurance, it might be advisable to check the insurance coverage of all of your vendors including the location of the place where you are having the wedding. It may only be necessary to purchase the wedding insurance coverage to fill in any gaps. Speak to your insurance professional to discuss your particular situation.

It is easy to think that you will never need wedding ring insurance (people do lose the rings), or wedding car insurance (what would you do if the limousine never turned up); however, these are all things that could be vitally important if a mishap arises. Wedding liability insurance is something that every couple about to tie the knot should have a discussion about and really consider.

If someone gets injured or sick at your wedding and the vendor doesn’t have enough insurance then the person (or their attorney) may come after you for the costs involved. Weddings are hard enough to plan without the added stress of being worried about losing money over situations that arise due to no fault of the engaged couple. Taking out a wedding insurance policy is certainly a newer trend, but it just might become the norm as more and more couples seek to have some protection over weather, illness and the acts of other people.

When looking to find wedding insurance policy, it is recommended that you search online with different wedding insurance companies that offer different options at different prices. You will learn how important it is to have wedding insurance if you aren’t protected and something unfortunate and out of your control happens at the wedding. This is why it is highly recommended to find the perfect wedding insurance for your event just to be protected and on the safe side.
